Office 365, G Suite, and Salesforce facilitate collaboration and growth for businesses around the world, particularly with the rise of mobile and remote workforces. However, SaaS cloud application vendors only guarantee the infrastructure they provide their users as a service. They do not guarantee your data within their infrastructure. SaaS vendors’ limited backup tools and narrow retention policies cannot provide backup or archived copies of your data to be used for recovery and business continuity. They cannot protect against user errors, hackers, ransomware, malicious actions, or unauthorized access from lost or stolen devices.

    FAQ

    Where is my data stored?

Data is stored in a secure data center, whose location is determined based on a user’s location. Data centers are located in the United States, European Union, and Australia.

    United States:
    Location: Washington DC, USA
    Provider: Equinix
Certifications: ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST 800-53/FISMA & SOC 2 Type II

    European Union:
    Location: Copenhagen, DK
    Provider: GlobalConnect & Teracom
Certifications: ISO 27001, ISAE 3402 Type II

    Australia:
    Location: Sydney, AU
    Provider: Equinix
Certifications: ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type II & SOC 2 Type II

How long is the standard retention period?

Standard retention is one year. 3-year and 5-year retention plans are available for an additional charge.

What data retention options are available?

    1-year, 3-year, and 5-year contracts are available.

How much storage space per user is included in standard SaaS license?

1 TB per user is included in the standard license. If any user exceeds the 1 TB of storage, an additional license must be purchased for that user.

What is the difference between Office 365 Complete and Exchange-Only versions?

The Office 365 Complete version includes backup of all products, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams & Groups, and the SaaS license is based on the number of active Office 365 users.

The Exchange-Only version is backup of email only. The SaaS license is based on number of users’ email that will be backed up.

    Are there minimum purchase requirements?

Yes, the minimum purchase is 5 users for a 1-year contract.

    What security provisions are included?

A continuous AES 256 bit encryption is for cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery of data. All data retrieved from Office 365 is retrieved via public Office 365 APIs, which employ HTTPS as the transport mechanism. This means all data is encrypted in transit using TLS encryption (the encryption layer in HTTPS).

All files can only be read and restored by the owner of the customer specific account.

Is there an on-premise version available?

On-premise backup of Office 365, G Suite, and Salesforce are not available.

Backup of on-premise Exchange is available and is priced separately. Please contact us for more information.
