Advanced Server

SEP sesam Advanced Server is the high performance server in the product line. The product supports backup to local attached tape or disk for all supported drives (see www.sep.de/home.php for supported devices). The backup may use up to 64 data streams for enhanced throughput. Backup streams are written in parallel to the backup device. Using the available virtual library a storage area (disk) up to 1 TB can be managed for backup .
A combination of backup to disk and/or disk and tape is possible. The included JAVA GUI can be used to control the backup server from a separate workstation or desktop.  Our GUI may may be installed on multiple computers for added flexibility. Product may be used with all available server products and enhanced with all available SEP modules. Backup strategies for heterogeneuos environments can be developed and administered easily and economically.
