Installation

First transfer the Sm_lic.zip file or Sm_lic.ini file to the sesam server

On a Linux server, as root:

1. If file is zipped, please unzip sm_lic.zip.

2. Copy the sm_lic.ini file to /var/opt/sesam/var/ini/sm_lic.ini (keep the
original file as a backup).

3. Wait 5 minutes for the service to detect the license.

4. /etc/init.d/sesam restart.

5. SEP sesam may take up to 1.5 hours to recognize the new license.

On a Windows server, as Administrator:

1. If file is zipped, please unzip sm_lic.zip.

2. Copy the sm_lic.ini file to c:\Program Files\SEPSesamar\ini\sm_lic.ini (keep
the original file as a backup).

3. Wait 5 minutes for the service to detect the license.

4. Restart the sesam service or the computer.

5. SEP sesam may take up to 1.5 hours to recognize the new license.

You can use the sesam gui HELP>LICENSE to verify that the new license is
detected and working.
